Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about studying at ALCI. Can't find your answer? Our admissions team is happy to help.
Admissions
Who can apply to ALCI?
Anyone who is motivated to learn and can commit the weekly hours a program requires. Most programs have no formal academic prerequisites; each course page lists what you should know before starting.
When do programs start?
Our first cohorts are being scheduled now. Cohort dates are published on each course page when enrollment opens — you can register your interest through the contact form to hear first.
Is there an entrance test?
There is no entrance exam. For intermediate programs we may ask a few short questions to make sure the program is the right fit, and we'll suggest a better starting point if it isn't.
Learning at ALCI
Are programs online?
Yes. All launch programs are online and part-time, with live sessions scheduled in the evening or at weekends, recorded material, and project work you complete on your own schedule.
How much time do I need each week?
Between 6 and 12 hours depending on the program. Each course page lists the expected weekly commitment.
What happens if I fall behind?
Talk to your mentor early. Recordings and flexible deadlines on most work help you catch up, and if life gets in the way we'll discuss moving you to a later cohort.
How does the AI tutor work?
The AI tutor helps you get unstuck at any hour by asking guiding questions and explaining concepts. It's designed to help you think, not to hand you finished answers, and it never replaces feedback from human mentors.
Fees & payments
How much do programs cost?
Tuition for each program is announced when enrollment opens and shown before you pay. There are no hidden fees.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within the windows described in our Refund Policy. In short: you can cancel for a full refund before your cohort starts, and receive a partial refund early in the program.
Certificates & careers
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students who complete a program's required projects receive an ALCI certificate with a verification link that shows the work behind it.
Is ALCI an accredited university?
No. ALCI is an independent professional college focused on practical, job-relevant skills. Our certificates demonstrate verified project work rather than an academic degree.
Do you help with jobs?
We help you build a strong portfolio, prepare for technical interviews and present your work well. We don't guarantee employment — anyone who does is overpromising.
Technical
What computer do I need?
A laptop or desktop made in the last five years with a modern browser, a stable internet connection and a webcam for live sessions. Specific tools are listed on each course page.
What language are programs taught in?
All programs are taught in English.
